Job Summary
The Director of Product Line Creation for Women’s Apparel will own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from range planning to go-to-market (GTM) strategies and commercial delivery. This role is pivotal in shaping the women’s apparel collection for Lotto and One8, aligning with brand direction, consumer positioning, and retail requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete product lifecycle for Women's Apparel across Lotto and One8, including range planning and development briefs to GTM and commercial delivery.
- Build and plan the Women's range (performance, training, lifestyle) with multiple seasonal drops, ensuring original brand terms, prices, and margins are maintained.
- Collaborate with the design team to create commercially viable Women's collections, with clear fit and fabrication briefs.
- Coordinate with sourcing and development teams to guarantee timely deliveries that meet specifications and cost targets.
- Drive season launch strategy including pricing, channel allocation, discounting approach, and full-price sell-through management.
- Partner with brand heads for Lotto and One8 to ensure Women's products align with overall campaign direction and retail requirements.
- Collaborate with Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) and retail channel teams to align right product offerings at the right time and through the right channels.
- Utilize data and market intelligence for range refinement, assessing successful strategies and consumer preferences.
- Stay updated on global and Indian Women's sportswear and athleisure trends.
Qualifications
- 7 to 12 years of experience in apparel buying, merchandising, or product management, specifically within the Women's category.
- Proven track record of owning Women’s range planning and Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibilities in a brand, retail, or licensed brand operation.
- Background in sports, activewear, athleisure, or premium fashion, with specific expertise in the Women's category.
- Strong commercial acumen, including Open-to-Buy (OTB) management, margin planning, and sell-through optimization.
- Experience managing multiple channels including Exclusive Brand Outlets (EBOs), Shop-in-Shops (SIS), online, and D2C.
- Proven experience managing 4 to 6 seasonal drops per year with a range of 500 to 1,000+ options.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in data analysis and market research to drive product decisions.
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and consumer engagement tactics.
