Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled PHP + React Full Stack Developer with 5-7 years of experience to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to lead the migration of legacy PHP/CodeIgniter applications to the latest Laravel 12 framework while implementing modern frontend practices using React. This role not only entails backend development but also requires a solid understanding of modern web application architecture and deployment strategies.

Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Migrate legacy PHP/CodeIgniter applications to Laravel 12 utilizing the Backend for Frontend (BFF) pattern, while building well-structured APIs, middleware, and service layers.
• Frontend Development: Transform existing jQuery server-side rendering (SSR) into modular React components and develop modern Single Page Applications (SPAs) using React and TypeScript.
• Database Management: Utilize solid MySQL knowledge, including performance optimization techniques such as indexing, partitioning, and replication.
• CI/CD & Testing: Implement Git pipelines, and ensure code quality and coverage through testing frameworks such as PHPUnit, Pest, Jest, and Cypress.
• Containerization: Manage deployment of containerized applications using Docker.
• Collaboration and Design: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design efficient system architectures conducive to large-scale migrations.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong expertise in PHP and Laravel frameworks.
  • Proficient in React and TypeScript for frontend development.
  • Solid experience with MySQL (indexes, partitioning, replication).
  • Proficient in Docker for deployment and containerization.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and testing frameworks: Git, PHPUnit, Pest, Jest, Cypress.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and tools such as Golang (Gin) and Kafka/Beanstalkd is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Skills

• Additional experience in Golang and experience with event-driven architectures (like Kafka or Beanstalkd) is desirable but not mandatory.

Experience

• A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in full-stack development with a strong background in system migration and design is required.

Environment

• Shift Hours: 11 AM to 8 PM. Candidates must be flexible with their working hours as project requirements may require overlap with the EST time zone.
• Location: Hybrid work model, based in Bangalore. Candidates must currently reside in Bangalore and be ready to work from the office at least 3 days a week.

Salary

Estimated salary is 1.4 Lakh per month (maximum).
