<p><b>Role Overview – Financial Controller</b></p>
<p>Lavonne is seeking a <b>Financial Controller</b> who will take ownership of establishing and</p>
<p>leading the financial control function across our fast-growing café and academy business.</p>
<p>This is a critical role for someone who brings strong financial discipline, reporting expertise,</p>
<p>and the ability to implement systems, processes, and internal controls from scratch.</p>
<p>As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for driving financial accuracy, building</p>
<p>robust reporting frameworks, and ensuring compliance across all business units. You will</p>
<p>partner closely with leadership to instill operational and financial discipline as the company</p>
<p>scales from a single-city presence to a multi-city footprint.</p>
<p>This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced,</p>
<p>entrepreneurial environment and is excited about building structure in a high-growth,</p>
<p>founder-led business.</p>
<p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p>
<p>• <b>Build and Lead the Finance Function</b></p>
<p>Establish end-to-end financial systems, controls, and policies from scratch.</p>
<p>• <b>Financial Planning & Control</b></p>
<p>Develop strong budgetary discipline, cost controls, and reporting frameworks. Lead</p>
<p>all forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.</p>
<p>• <b>Business Partnering</b></p>
<p>Work closely with founders, operations (led by Lijo), and the production team to</p>
<p>drive business performance.• <b>Expansion Finance Strategy</b></p>
<p>Partner in the strategic rollout of new outlets across multiple cities. Model financial</p>
<p>feasibility for growth plans.</p>
<p>• <b>Vendor & Commercial Management</b></p>
<p>Ensure cost efficiency and timely vendor payments; handle commercial negotiations</p>
<p>and backend financial controls.</p>
<p>• <b>Audit, Taxation & Compliance</b></p>
<p>Manage internal/external audits, statutory compliance, and work with 3rd-party</p>
<p>finance vendors where required.</p>
<p><b>Ideal Candidate Profile</b></p>
<p>• 8–12 years of experience in finance, preferably in F&B, restaurant chains, café</p>
<p>systems, hotel industry, or retail.</p>
<p>• Experience in scaling operations.</p>
<p>• Strong understanding of backend production models and cafe/store-level operations.</p>
<p>• Hands-on leader who’s comfortable getting into the details.</p>
<p>• Based in Bangalore or willing to relocate.</p>
