Job Summary
The Senior Sales Manager/Branch Manager will lead the branch operations in Hyderabad, driving sales growth and profitability in a competitive market. This role demands a seasoned sales leader with extensive experience in the industrial automation sector, particularly with IA products. The successful candidate will manage B2B and OEM sales, oversee profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities, and foster strong customer relationships to ensure the branch exceeds its sales targets while delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve branch sales goals and growth targets.
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to enhance performance and meet objectives.
- Manage branch P&L to maintain financial health and drive profitability.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to boost brand visibility and generate market leads.
- Analyze sales metrics and report performance insights to senior management to refine strategies.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities to expand branch presence.
- Stay informed on industry trends and technological advancements in automation, especially Siemens products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE) or a related field.
- 12 to 15 years of experience in sales management, preferably within the industrial automation industry.
- Proven leadership experience managing high-performing sales teams.
- In-depth knowledge of B2B sales processes and OEM sales dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to manage P&L and deliver business results.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on achieving results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Siemens automation products.
- Expertise in supply chain consolidation and indirect material sales.
- Strategic planning and market penetration skills.
- Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
Experience
- Minimum 12 to 15 years in sales management roles.
- Extensive experience in industrial automation sales, including B2B and OEM sectors.
