UX Designer
Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and creative UX Designer with extensive experience in Figma, design systems, and mobile-first design principles. This role is pivotal in creating intuitive, accessible, and engaging user experiences across native mobile applications and web platforms while playing a significant role in ensuring design consistency and quality across products.
Responsibilities
- Design & Maintain Scalable Design Systems: Develop and oversee design systems in Figma, utilizing tokens, vectors, components, and interactive prototypes.
- Craft User-Centric Interfaces: Create visually appealing and accessible designs for native mobile applications and web platforms.
- Develop UX Artifacts: Produce detailed wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interaction flows, information architecture, and annotated specifications.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with UX Researchers, Developers, and Product Owners to validate designs using user testing tools (e.g., usertesting.com).
- Translate Complex Problems: Simplify complex design challenges into elegant, consistent solutions across multiple platforms.
- Ensure Accessibility Standards: Uphold and implement WCAG 2.1 AA standards to deliver universally accessible digital products.
- Communicate Design Rationale: Clearly articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through various communication channels.
Qualifications
- Figma Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on full-time experience (ideally 2+ years) with advanced features like tokens, vectors, components, and prototyping.
- Mobile Design Expertise: At least 3 years of experience designing native mobile interfaces with a deep understanding of mobile UI/UX patterns.
- Web Technologies: Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks such as React to ensure seamless integration of design and code.
- User Testing Proficiency: Familiarity with platforms like usertesting.com and the ability to incorporate user feedback into iterative design improvements.
- Accessibility Standards: In-depth understanding and practical application of WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve user challenges through effective interaction design, usability principles, and visual communication.
- Design Systems: Proven track record in creating and maintaining comprehensive design systems across complex product ecosystems.
- Educational Background: A degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Agile/Scrum Experience: Prior work experience in Agile or Scrum environments.
- DesignOps Practices: Exposure to DesignOps and techniques for large-scale design collaboration.
- Analytics Proficiency: Understanding of analytics tools and metrics-driven design validation.
- Cross-Functional Insight: Knowledge of the intersection between UX, development, and business strategy.
