Job Summary

The Operations Lead will oversee all activities following an order confirmation, including dispatch, transportation, delivery, and reconciliation at Source.One. This position is vital for managing, optimizing, and scaling the Order Manager function that is currently under redesign. The role encompasses implementing automated solutions and leading a team to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Own post-order-confirmation fulfillment end to end, including dispatch coordination, transportation, delivery, and collections.
• Run and continuously improve the Order Manager operating model, refining workflows, service level agreements (SLAs), and handoffs as volumes increase.
• Lead a team of 12–15 people across Order Success, Transporter Success, and Driver Success; establish standards, mentor managers, and oversee hiring and performance.
• Manage transporter/freight operations, focusing on rate discovery, vehicle placement, and on-time performance; collaborate with the transporter network to enhance reliability and reduce costs.
• Identify and automate manual, error-prone, or slow processes within the post-order cycle, partnering closely with Product and Technology teams to prioritize and implement improvements.
• Own and report on operational metrics such as dispatch-to-delivery turnaround time (TAT), exceptions and escalations, freight cost per order, transporter and driver reliability, and collections cycle time.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years of experience in truck transportation or freight operations (including own fleet, brokered, or managed marketplace).
• Experience in a large-scale trading or commodities distribution company, a Transportation Management System (TMS) business, or a platform/marketplace commerce business with back-to-back order flows.
• Demonstrated product mindset, with experience in translating operational challenges into automated workflows in partnership with tech teams.
• Strong process orientation, including the ability to design or redesign operating processes from the ground up.
• Proven people leadership experience, having built and managed a multi-person operations team across various functions and geographies.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and adapt to rapid changes, as this function is actively being redesigned.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to industrial commodities such as polymers, chemicals, paper, or metals.
• Familiarity with B2B fintech or supply chain finance (SCF) operations.

Experience

• 6–12 years of relevant experience, with a significant focus on freight operations and logistics management.
