Job Summary

The Security Network Engineer is responsible for ensuring the security of the organization's network infrastructure. This role involves defining security policies and standards, performing proactive network analysis, and collaborating with design teams to implement secure architectures for various sites. The engineer will develop and track metrics for secure network deployments and work to enhance the organization's overall security posture.

Responsibilities

• Assist in defining security policies and standards as well as reference architecture for network design and deployment related to ZIA, ZPA, and DDoS technologies.
• Conduct proactive analysis of the network to ensure secure deployments and configurations in line with global security best practices.
• Collaborate with the network design team, providing security inputs while designing architectures for new offices, branches, and data centers, emphasizing security by design.
• Develop network security standards and provide guidance on design to meet corporate security requirements.
• Strategize and formulate both high and low-level monitoring mechanisms for network security posture and advise on measures for improvements.
• Maintain technical knowledge of DDoS mitigation, Network Access Control (NAC), Internet Proxy, DNS, and related technologies.
• Analyze network security and formulate comprehensive monitoring strategies for DDoS mitigation, NAC integration, Internet Proxy, and DNS services.
• Proactively enhance the security posture of the network by studying vulnerabilities published by various Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and agencies like CERT.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure that the IT infrastructure meets global network security standards.
• Produce and track metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and maturity of secure network deployments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in security recommendations for the deployment and management of large networks.
• Strong hands-on experience in DDoS mitigation, NAC, Internet Proxy, and DNS solutions.
• Proficient in the latest networking technologies, with a focus on security aspects related to DDoS mitigation and NAC integration.
• Solid understanding of network security concepts, including routing, switching protocols, and networking devices.
• Broad knowledge of infrastructure services, including:
  • Networking
  • Authentication Mechanisms
  • Cryptographic technologies

Preferred Skills

• Experience in inter-technology and inter-OEM integration from a security perspective.
• Familiarity with current trends and advancements in network security.

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in network security and design, with a solid foundation in handling complex networks.
