Job Summary

The Data Steward will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality data management practices are maintained within the organization. This position is focused on applying strong analytical skills and knowledge of various data governance frameworks and tools to improve data quality and support informed decision making.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with data governance frameworks and principles.
• Manage data quality concepts including cataloguing and Data Quality (DQ) rule creation.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis by querying data from various sources.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement DQ scorecarding and monitor data quality metrics.
• Communicate findings and insights effectively to support project management and strategic goals.
• Utilize tools such as Informatica, IDQ (Informatica Data Quality), and CDQ (Customer Data Quality) in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and Excel.
  • Exposure to Informatica, IDQ, and CDQ.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects efficiently.

• Preferred Skills:

  • Strong communication skills and customer domain knowledge.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and data management principles.
  • Basic proficiency in Databricks and Azure Cloud fundamentals.

• Educational Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Data Management is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and Retail industry and products.

Experience

• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in data analysis, data stewardship, or data governance roles.
