Job Summary: The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth within a designated territory for Wickedgud, a leading brand of healthy instant noodles. This role requires a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a proven track record of success in the FMCG or food & beverage industry, with a strong emphasis on penetrating and expanding sales within the General Trade channel. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the retail landscape, distribution channels, and competitive environment within the food industry. Key Responsibilities: ● Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets for Wickedgud healthy instant noodles within the assigned territory, with a strong focus on expanding distribution and market share within the General Trade channel. ● Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers within the General Trade channel, including independent retailers, kirana stores, and local markets. ● Develop and implement effective strategies to penetrate and expand sales within the General Trade channel. ● Identify and develop new business opportunities within the territory, focusing on modern trade, General Trade, and online channels. ● Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team of 10-15 individuals, with a focus on developing their expertise in selling to the General Trade channel. ● Conduct regular team meetings, provide coaching and feedback, and monitor team performance, with a particular emphasis on improving sales performance within General Trade. ● Analyze market trends and competitor activities within the healthy food and instant noodle segments, with a focus on understanding the dynamics of the General Trade channel. ● Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, providing detailed analysis of sales performance within the General Trade channel. ● Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. ● Represent the Wickedgud brand professionally at industry events and trade shows. ● Travel within the assigned territory as required by business needs. Qualifications: ● 8-12 years of experience in sales and business development within the FMCG or food & beverage sector, preferably with experience in managing a sales team and working with new-age brands. ● Proven track record of successful sales within the General Trade channel in the food industry. ● Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. ● Excellent organizational and time management skills. ● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). ● Experience working with CRM software (if applicable). ● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. ● Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. ● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a 6-day working week.
