Job Summary
As the Business Head for Siemens in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, you will be responsible for driving sales growth in the territory while ensuring compliance with sales processes and policies. Your role involves strategically developing and qualifying new revenue opportunities and strengthening data-driven supplier relationships, particularly with Siemens, a key global strategic supplier. You will collaborate closely with sales teams to craft targeted strategies and messaging to generate new business and expand existing accounts. Success in this role depends on motivation, tenacity, and rigor in achieving results.
Responsibilities
- Understand and communicate the value proposition of Rexel’s solutions to meet individual customer needs effectively.
- Qualify prospective customers by active listening and probing questions to assess fit according to company policies and guidelines.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Research, develop, and expand new accounts by creating a strong contact portfolio using effective B2B account prospecting strategies.
- Achieve key performance metrics including quotas for qualified opportunities, pipeline attribution, and closed business.
- Evangelize solutions and present product value propositions tailored to customer requirements.
- Guide Account Executives and Account Managers in developing account plans through targeted research.
- Conduct high-level product discussions with senior executives in prospective accounts.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date customer interactions are recorded in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Participate in and collaborate on projects aimed at improving overall team efficiency.
- Stay informed on industry trends and proactively share best practices within the team.
- Coach, mentor, and assist in onboarding new team members in collaboration with the leadership team.
Qualifications
- Minimum 14+ years of experience in business development or extensive sales development roles.
- Preferably prior Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility; strong understanding of business P&L, commercial terms, conditions, and Incoterms is essential.
- Experience with CRM systems, preferably in SaaS software or technology environments.
- Domain expertise in the Industrial Automation industry, including knowledge of competitors, their value propositions, and positioning.
- Deep understanding of customer industries and relevant personas, with the ability to identify appropriate solutions.
- Proficient knowledge of Siemens product portfolio, including Factory and Process Automation, operating models, and channel partners.
- Ability to conduct high-level product conversations with senior executives.
- Excellent customer-facing skills, including written, verbal, and presentation capabilities.
- Highly motivated, driven, and self-starting with the ability to quickly adapt and deliver results.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and evolve the role as the business grows.
- Strong team player who shares best practices, experiments with new prospecting ideas, and works collaboratively to achieve team goals.
- Educational qualifications: Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, or Instrumentation Engineering is mandatory.
- A Master’s degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Business, Marketing, or related fields is preferred.

- Prior experience with P&L responsibility.
- Advanced knowledge of SaaS CRM platforms.
- Additional certifications or training in sales strategy or industrial automation technologies.
- Experience working with multinational corporations and strategic suppliers.
