Job Summary

The DevOps Engineer will primarily focus on leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services to enhance deployment pipelines, manage infrastructure, and ensure the seamless operation of applications. This role is crucial for optimizing cloud resources and implementing best practices for continuous integration and delivery, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure using GCP Services such as Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Storage.
• Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Monitor and troubleshoot applications using monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure code quality and efficiency through scripting in Bash, Python, or similar languages.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in GCP Services and related tools (Cloud SQL, Cloud Armor, Cloud Firewall).
  • Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with AWS services and tools.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash or Python.
  • Understanding of monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with RabbitMQ for message queuing.
• Familiarity with application load balancing and unmanaged instance groups.
• Understanding of security practices and tools such as Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP) and Cloud Armor.

Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a DevOps role.
• Proven experience in managing cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
