Job Title: Lead, Business Finance About the Company Ayr designs and manufactures critical power grid equipment including power transformers, distribution transformers, special-purpose transformers, high-voltage circuit breakers, and medium voltage switchgear. They serve markets such as renewables, data centers, utilities, oil & gas, and industrial sectors. They position themselves as partners in power projects, offering lifecycle support and working to deliver faster than average industry timelines. Given this domain—with engineering, manufacturing, compliance, supply chain, technical teams, field service operations—the Finance function must align with highly technical and compliance driven needs, across geographies. Website: https://ayr.energy Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Business Finance Manager to oversee project costing, financial monitoring, and contract risk assessment. This role will serve as the financial backbone of project execution, ensuring cost efficiency, cash flow stability, and compliance with commercial terms. Key Responsibilities 1. Project Costing & Monitoring • Maintain and update cost database, including technical characteristics of major items • Review project costing during quotation stage • Track incurred and committed costs versus projected budgets • Own project P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting 2. Contract & Payment Management • Negotiate customer and supplier payment terms to minimize cash flow mismatches • Review customer purchase orders and commercial terms, identifying key actionable • Conduct risk assessments of contracts (duties, taxes, escalations, penalties, delivery timelines) • Ensure timely issuance and retirement of Letters of Credit (LCs) • Perform working capital and cash flow analysis for projects 3. Invoicing & Accounts Receivable • Coordinate with project management to confirm billable milestones and raise invoices • Prepare and review weekly AR reports; follow up on outstanding payments • Issue lien waivers as required 4. Supplier & Procurement Finance • Approve supplier POs in line with budget – create systems to guide the approval process. • Ensure adherence to standard terms and conditions • Verify vendor performance guarantees are issued on time 5. Business Intelligence & Risk Awareness • Conduct periodic reviews of customer financial health and business updates • Monitor supplier financial position and maintain strong vendor relationships Skills & Attributes • Analytical mindset with attention to detail • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously Qualifications • Chartered Accountant/ Cost Accountant • 5+ years of experience in project finance or business finance roles • Strong knowledge of cost databases, project accounting, and cash flow management • Excellent negotiation and contract risk assessment skills • Proficiency in financial reporting tools and MS Excel Work Environment: • India: Hyderabad. • Flat organizational structure that fosters transparency, collaboration, innovation, and cross functional teamwork.
