Manager / Senior Manager – Business Development (APAC)

Job Summary

The Manager / Senior Manager – Business Development (APAC) will play a crucial leadership role within the organization, reporting directly to the VP of Global Business Development. This position entails leading and developing a high-performing team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) across the APAC region, focusing on sales, marketing, and revenue strategy to drive pipeline growth and recurring revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a distributed team of BDRs, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and growth.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to design and execute outbound strategies that generate a strong pipeline.
  • Utilize a data-driven approach to analyze insights and metrics, enhancing team performance and scaling outcomes.
  • Optimize outreach methods across email, phone, and LinkedIn for diverse markets within APAC.
  • Monitor pipeline health and conversion rates while identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with Revenue Operations to ensure CRM hygiene, accurate forecasting, and reporting.
  • Manage the end-to-end team lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, ramp-up, and career development.
  • Provide strategic insight regarding APAC market trends and business development best practices to leadership.
  • Work with marketing on account-based campaigns to ensure aligned outreach efforts.
  • Ensure alignment with sales teams for smooth handoffs and quality pipeline conversion.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competition, and evolving customer needs, sharing insights to influence go-to-market and sales strategies.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 8–10 years in Business Development/Sales Development in a B2B SaaS or enterprise setting.
  • Management: 5+ years of experience managing BDR/SDR teams.
  • Track Record: Proven history of meeting pipeline targets in APAC markets.
  • Tools Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Salesloft (or similar), ZoomInfo, and 6sense.
  • Leadership: Strong ability to set targets, coach teams, and drive performance.
  • Team Management: Experience managing multi-location, cross-time zone teams.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Background in finance tech / ERP / FP&A / CFO solutions space.
  • Exposure to account-based marketing (ABM).
  • Experience in high-growth or post-acquisition environments.
  • Multilingual capabilities relevant to APAC markets (e.g., Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Bahasa).
  • Experience in building career paths and team structures.
  • Familiarity with working alongside Revenue Operations teams.

Experience

The candidate should possess 8-10 years of relevant experience along with a strong management background in business development roles, particularly in the APAC region.
