Tortoise is a dynamic, venture-funded employee benefits tech startup seeking a highly qualified and experienced Solution Architect with a strong focus on finance and direct tax. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our company's future, working closely with leadership to develop optimal benefit structures for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Solution Design: Leverage your in-depth financial and tax expertise to architect employee benefit plans that maximize tax efficiency while adhering to all regulatory requirements.
• Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments to ensure stability and minimize potential liabilities for employers within their employee benefit programs.
• Product Integration: Collaborate with the product team to translate your benefit designs into a user-friendly, scalable platform that empowers our clients.
• Client Collaboration: Partner with senior management to present solutions to clients, address their concerns, and secure successful contract agreements.
• Internal Governance: Participate in strategic decision-making processes related to employee benefits, providing expert insights and contributing to company growth.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience post the CA qualification at a reputed Accounting or Tax Law firm
• Solid knowledge of Finance, Accounting, and Direct Tax that goes beyond theory
• Experience with direct tax and regulatory requirements in India (GST, TDS, etc)
• Experience in dealing with and successfully influencing CFOs and finance leaders at large companies
• Experience in dealing with tax notices and litigation is a plus
• Experience in corporate finance and financial modelling is a plus
