Job Description

Program Manager – Strategic Initiatives & Partnerships

Company Overview

Help Us Help Them (HUHT) is a not-for-profit initiative under the Mukti Group, a Kolkata-based conglomerate with interests in real estate, hospitality, and education. Founded by Mukti Gupta, HUHT is dedicated to transforming education in India’s rural government schools by integrating skill-based, livelihood-oriented learning into the formal school system.
Its flagship project, Adhigam Bhoomi, is a residential learning centre for rural girls, built on a unique curriculum that blends modern academics with traditional rural skills, including sustainable farming, renewable energy, textiles, pottery, yoga, and community entrepreneurship. After successful pilots in over 100 schools and partnerships with more than 1,000 schools in progress, HUHT is now poised to scale its curriculum to all 12 lakh+ rural government schools in India, building alignment with the National Education Policy 2020 and contributing to India’s Viksit Bharat 2040 goals.

This is not just an education project; it is a national blueprint for sustainable rural transformation, built in partnership with educators, artisans, policymakers, and communities.

Job Summary

As Program Manager, you will be the engine that turns ideas into impact. You will lead cross-functional programs from design to delivery—driving execution, aligning stakeholders, tracking outcomes, and ensuring initiatives create measurable change. You will also manage strategic partner engagements post-signing, ensuring commitments are met and relationships are nurtured. This is a high-ownership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven environments and enjoys building structure in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end execution of strategic initiatives (e.g., digital learning pilots, school expansion, AI integrations).
  • Manage internal program timelines, resource planning, reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Act as the primary operational owner for external partnerships—track deliverables, build workflows, ensure alignment.
  • Work closely with the CEO and Founder on key initiatives and represent the organization in partner and stakeholder meetings.
  • Structure data-driven program reports for leadership and funding partners.
  • Drive continuous process improvement across ongoing programs and new pilots.
  • Coordinate with academic, administrative, and tech teams to ensure cohesive delivery.

Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of experience in program/project management, preferably in the education, non-profit, or development sectors.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale initiatives with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with external stakeholders—partners, government agencies, or vendors.
  • Strong proficiency in program management tools (Excel, Notion, Trello, or similar).
  • Bonus: Exposure to using or implementing AI tools in real-world programs.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with education or community-based program delivery in India.

Preferred Skills

  • Exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, especially in stakeholder-facing contexts.
  • Bias toward action—comfortable with ambiguity, tight timelines, and limited resources.
  • Empathy for grassroots stakeholders—teachers, students, communities.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into insights and decisions.

Experience

  • 4–7 years of experience in program or project management.

Environment

  • Work will be conducted in an in-office setting located in Kolkata.

Salary

  • Compensation is estimated at ₹12–18 LPA (indicative; can be adjusted based on experience).

Benefits

  • The opportunity to directly impact thousands of students’ lives.
  • Work closely with visionary leadership on initiatives that shape the future of education.
  • A collaborative, mission-oriented work culture.
