Job Summary
As a Tech Leader, you will play a hands-on, strategic role in defining our technology vision and building the tech team from the ground up. This position is crucial for shaping our digital foundation and scaling our digital platforms, where you will make critical decisions about what to build versus what to buy, focusing on cost, scalability, and customer experience. Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end technical roadmap — from architecture to delivery and maintenance.
- Build and scale core D2C products such as e-commerce platforms, CRM, inventory, analytics, and more.
- Evaluate build vs. buy decisions to ensure tech investments are cost-effective and strategic.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, design, operations) to translate business needs into scalable digital solutions.
- Choose the right tools, vendors, and partners while maintaining platform flexibility (tech and cloud agnostic).
- Lay the foundation for the engineering culture, hiring, and processes as the tech team scales.
- Ensure performance, security, and reliability standards across all digital assets.
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of strong hands-on technical experience in a D2C, retail, or e-commerce startup environment.
- Proven ability to build and ship high-quality products from scratch.
- Experience working with modern web and mobile architectures, regardless of stack.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycles, integrations, and digital operations (inventory, payments, CRM, etc.).
- Strategic mindset — comfortable balancing speed with long-term scalability.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage setup.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and deployment strategies.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and methodologies.
