Job Summary
The Java Full Stack Developer will be responsible for both the development of new software solutions and the enhancement of existing applications. This role contributes significantly to the organization by ensuring high-quality technical solutions, effective database modeling, and user support during the software production phase.
Responsibilities
- Define user requirements for the development of new or improvement of existing software solutions.
- Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.
- Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation.
- Model, design, and implement databases as necessary.
- Develop software according to standards.
- Conduct unit, package, and performance tests of the software and ensure a level of quality in line with the guidelines.
- Participate in the validation/acceptance phase of the product cycle, ensuring the necessary fine-tuning to finalize the product.
- Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments.
- Support the end-user in the Production phase by debugging existing software solutions in response to Problem Tracking Records (PTR) and Change Requests (CR) issued from Product Management or Product Definition.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Java Full Stack Developer, with expertise in J2EE, Spring, or Spring Boot for a period of 5 to 10 years.
- Experience as a lead developer for a minimum period of 2 years.
- Experience developing microservices, MVC web applications, web services, or cloud-native applications.
- Knowledge of front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, XSLT, XPath, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with databases & SQL (e.g., Oracle), Source Code collaboration tools (e.g., Bitbucket, GitHub), web servers (e.g., WebLogic).
- Experience with CICD (e.g., Jenkins, Azure Pipelines) is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with Agile or SAFe Agile development methodology.
- Excellent communication skills in English and strong teamwork abilities.
- Exposure to the airline domain is a plus.
- Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
- An analytical mind for solving technical problems.
- Ability to provide technical leadership to motivate and lead on the technical front.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of additional cloud services or front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) would be beneficial.
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with 2 years in a lead developer role.
