Job Summary

The primary role of a VM Analyst (L1) is to perform vulnerability tracking and remediation activities in client environments. This role involves assisting senior team members in advising technical audiences on remediation strategies and developing targeted remediation plans based on vulnerability scan results.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct vulnerability management tasks including tracking and remediation within client environments.
  • Assist senior team members in guiding technical stakeholders on remediation options.
  • Analyze vulnerability results from scanning tools (preferably Qualys) and develop remediation plans, including prioritization strategies.
  • Manage and track progress of vulnerability remediation efforts against set deadlines, ensuring effective resolution.
  • Provide periodic updates on vulnerability remediation activities, identifying and recommending resolutions for recurring issues.
  • Collaborate with internal and client teams to review vulnerability reports and prioritize remediations based on severity ratings.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of recent experience in threat or vulnerability management programs.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in vulnerability management applications.
    • Strong understanding of vulnerability remediation prioritization.
    • Familiarity with data analysis techniques related to vulnerability remediation.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in development of vulnerability management programs.
  • Knowledge of various scanning tools and their application on system permutations.

Experience

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in vulnerability management roles, specifically focusing on threat analysis, vulnerability patching, tracking, and remediation.

Environment

  • The role is office-based in Bangalore, with a requirement for 24/7 rotational shifts. Candidates must be willing to work from the office only.
