Job Summary
The Head of Digital Platforms is a key strategic and technical leadership position responsible for enhancing the digital experience infrastructure at Mahindra Manulife Insurance Company in India. This role encompasses ownership of the company’s digital properties—ranging from the corporate website to mobile applications and digital distribution channels—ensuring alignment with brand standards and optimizing for a premier customer experience. Responsibilities
- Digital Platform Strategy: Define and manage the digital platform strategy for all owned properties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and scalability.
- Website Ownership & Governance: Oversee the corporate website, managing its architecture, content strategy, and performance metrics while ensuring compliance with SEO and accessibility standards.
- Mobile Experience: Lead the strategy and governance of mobile applications, ensuring an optimal user experience tailored for regional needs and low-bandwidth scenarios.
- Customer Journey Design & UI/UX Governance: Manage the entire digital customer journey, establishing UI/UX standards and helping align with broader customer experience strategies.
- Martech Enablement & Personalization: Develop and maintain the marketing technology stack, enabling personalized customer experiences through data integration.
- Digital Analytics: Establish and oversee a digital analytics framework to track performance, ensuring adherence to data governance and privacy regulations.
- Leverage AI and Emerging Technologies: Stay updated on new technologies and incorporate AI to enhance customer engagement and experience.
- Agency & Technology Partner Management: Build and manage relationships with digital agencies and technology vendors to ensure effective collaboration and performance monitoring.
- Risk, Compliance & Platform Governance: Ensure that digital platforms comply with relevant guidelines, maintaining oversight on platform security and risk management.
Qualifications
- Education: MBA or Postgraduate degree in Marketing, Technology, Design, or Management from a premier institution. Additional qualifications in digital product management, UX design, or data analytics are an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in digital platforms, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven track record in building and scaling digital platforms, particularly in BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance).
Preferred Skills
- Experience in establishing a digital platform function from the ground up, particularly within a digital-first environment.
- Familiarity with AI/ML-powered solutions and the ability to drive measurable improvements in digital metrics.
Experience
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in digital platforms.
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership position, especially within the BFSI sector.
