Job Summary
The Aircraft Weight and Balance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the accurate assessment and management of aircraft weight and balance. This role is crucial for maintaining safety standards and compliance with aviation regulations. Responsibilities
- Conduct aircraft weight and balance assessments to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Review and interpret aircraft manufacturer documentation and operational manuals for accurate weight management.
- Collaborate with multicultural teams to ensure effective communication and implementation of weight and balance strategies.
- Monitor changes in global aviation regulations (ICAO, FAA, EASA), and Indian DGCA standards to maintain compliance.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and scripting tools (e.g., VBA) to streamline weight and balance reporting processes.
- Provide insights on payload optimization and fleet configuration management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in aircraft weight and balance engineering, preferably with international exposure.
- Strong understanding of aircraft manufacturer documentation and operational manuals.
- Familiarity with global aviation regulations (ICAO, FAA, EASA) and Indian DGCA standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, XML, and scripting tools (e.g., VBA).
- Experience with Altea DCS, LIDO, or other airline operations platforms is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multicultural teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with aircraft performance analysis, payload optimization, and fleet configuration management.
- Exposure to international airline operations, especially in Europe, Middle East, or Asia-Pacific regions.
- Ability to manage remote collaboration and cross-time-zone communication effectively.
- Prior involvement in aviation safety audits, training delivery, or technical consulting.
