Job Description
GENERAL PURPOSE
In this role, the incumbent will be needed to develop products and technologies for relevant categories. He/she needs to lead formula development in the project and deliver the product working from scratch managing different activities of product development.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-CONCLUSIVE)
- Project or Insight Management
- Lead IIM med and high Complex Core Team: The job holder will join core team meetings on medium and high complex IIM (Integrated Innovation Management) projects. He/she will lead decision to manage the project progress and align Head with decision if required.
- Manage large & medium complex innovation project & technologies.: Manage medium and high complexity innovation project. Job holder should be able to define and execute actions for managing high complex innovation project.
- Efficient study design to use optimal resources: Job holder should be able to design complex testing plan and consumer studies.
- Prepare strategy for category consumer know how: Job holder should be able to provide strategy input and support category-country understanding – its consumer, competitor and relevant mapping of assortment and technologies.
- Prepare strategy for category: Job holder should be able to develop sustainability strategy.
- Novel Technology/Capability Development:
- Build VM (Value Management) approaches, SC (Supply Chain) project and capabilities for projects and categories: Job holder should be able to build value management strategies for categories and initiate new VM or Supply Chain projects.
- Lead novel technology and capabilities for projects and categories. He/she should be able to lead technology development or Capability development.
- Identifying new test methods: Job holder should be able to develop new test methods to identify benefits.
- Patent Filing and Scientific research articles: Job holder should be able to identify IP (Intellectual Property) gaps and file patent for technology in categories.
- Workflow know how: Job holder should be Expert and trainer in few workflows - formula databases, Stability tests, micro, safety assessment, registration process, artwork, upscaling process, analogies, and risk management etc.
- Organisation Task:
- Lead lab management topics for efficient lab operations.
- Ensure clarity sanity and resourcing: Job holder should be able to keep project and resource updates.
- Co-ordination & Exchange:
- Lead and participate within India Hub R&D, with Global R&D & other R&D hubs.
- Lead connection with external suppliers and innovation groups.
- Category Business Knowledge & Consumer Insights
- Business Knowledge: Job holder should be able to understand business drivers for categories and franchisees.
- Financial Understanding: Job holder should be able to understand project financial information and able influence decision on Hurdles and Saving and Value Management opportunities.
- Product Concept knowledge: Job Holder should be able to develop concepts in collaboration with marketing and able to provide input on technical and consumer insights on Concepts.
- Consumer Insight: Job holder should be able to drive consumer insight to learn unmet needs and trends and influence it for Innovation and product development.
- Country Category SWOT analysis: Should be able to support in country category mapping of information on consumer, competitor, and assortment.
- Stakeholder Management: Job holder should be able to influence and drive decision with key stakeholder on projects and categories.
