QA Engineer 4

Job Summary

The QA Engineer 4 will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through comprehensive testing strategies. This position involves designing test cases, executing tests, and managing defects to contribute to the overall success of the organization’s software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design test cases and write test case scripts to ensure thorough testing of software features.
• Prepare the test environment and test data, and execute test cases effectively.
• Provide sign-off (go/no-go) on tested features based on defined exit criteria.
• Continuously assess the need to add, update, or remove test cases in the existing regression and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline as new product features are delivered and based on metrics such as stabilization and deletion of flaky tests.
• Investigate Product Test Reports (PTRs) as part of maintenance activities, test the fixes, and enrich test suites accordingly.
• Assess the necessity to automate a subset of (or all) test scripts and contribute to the improvement of the test automation framework.
• Open defects for software or documentation, assign relevant levels of severity based on the importance of the issue, and provide relevant investigation and information to facilitate defect resolution.
• Check defect fixes and provide go/no-go decisions for the loading of production defects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in test case design and execution.
• Proficiency in test automation frameworks and scripting.
• Experience with defect management and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with performance testing tools.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
