Job Summary

The ServiceNow Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of ServiceNow applications through comprehensive testing practices. This role contributes to the organization's goals by ensuring that the ServiceNow platform meets user requirements and functions effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Instrumental in understanding the requirements and design of the product/software.
  • Develop software solutions by studying information needs, systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
  • Investigate problem areas following the software development life cycle and facilitate root cause analysis.
  • Analyze client requirements and convert requirements into feasible designs.
  • Develop and execute test cases for ServiceNow applications, ensuring optimal software/module development and coding.
  • Modify software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve performance, or upgrade interfaces.
  • Capture requirements and clarifications from the client for better quality work and take feedback for smooth and timely delivery.
  • Document solutions through developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and clear code comments.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and its functionalities.
  • Experience with testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed test cases and documentation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development practices is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
  • Ability to prepare reports on programming project specifications, activities, and status.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with automated testing tools specific to ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.
  • Certification in ServiceNow or relevant testing certifications (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
