Company Overview
Pass Privé is a Mauritius-based travel platform that offers a comprehensive app and website for local travel experiences. The platform focuses on onboarding local travel partners such as hotels, resorts, and restaurants to create a seamless travel ecosystem. The company operates with a small, agile team of 3–4 members led by a Chief Business Officer, and aims to position itself as a “District app for travel” in Mauritius.
Job Summary
The role of EIR / Chief of Staff in the Founder’s Office is designed to augment the founder’s bandwidth by handling strategic initiatives, partnership development, and merchant onboarding. The candidate will act as a key support to accelerate growth, manage critical partnership threads, and identify go-to-market opportunities with large partners. This position requires a highly self-directed, street-smart individual capable of fast context-switching and working independently to drive impactful results.
Responsibilities
- Lead merchant onboarding efforts and identify opportunities for upselling existing partners.
- Manage and pick up and close integration and partnership threads, ensuring smooth collaboration with external stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue GTM (Go-To-Market) opportunities with large partners to expand platform reach.
- Support the founder in strategic initiatives, acting as a trusted advisor and execution partner.
- Facilitate communication and coordination across internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment on key projects.
- Maintain a high level of self-direction and initiative to proactively address challenges and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Educational Qualifications: Strong pedigree from top engineering institutes or MBA programs; a good MBA is a plus but not mandatory.
- Professional Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience, ideally with a background in consulting or fintech (merchant side). Open to candidates with a flexible mindset and relevant startup experience.
- Technical Skills: Excellent stakeholder management, partnership development, and onboarding skills.
- Soft Skills: Street-smart, fast learner, self-directed, highly adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Previous Relevant Profiles: Candidates similar to Jackson Bodra (IIM Ahmedabad 2013, ex-Vodafone/Idea, startup experience) are preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the travel or hospitality industry.
- Strong network within fintech or merchant ecosystems.
- Ability to operate effectively in a small, dynamic team environment.
- Multilingual capabilities, especially in English and local languages.
Experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience, with a preference for candidates with consulting backgrounds or fintech experience related to merchants.
- Experience working in startup environments or roles requiring strategic partnership management.
Environment
- The role is based in Mauritius, with the candidate required to relocate.
- The work environment is a small, close-knit team with a focus on agility and rapid execution.
- The position involves a mix of strategic planning, partnership negotiations, and operational support.
Salary
- Estimated in-hand salary: approximately ₹2.5 lakh/month.
- Compensation can be structured as a consulting arrangement (~₹30L gross/year) to optimize tax efficiency.
- Full-time employment is also possible, with in-hand take-home potentially lower after deductions.
- ESOPs: valued at approximately ₹45–48L are offered to previous candidates.
