Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute automation scripts using Python or Java. This role will contribute to ensuring high-quality product releases by engaging in thorough functional testing, database understanding, and API testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using Python or Java and Selenium WebDriver.
• Develop robust, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks for web and API testing.
• Perform API testing and automation using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to ensure high-quality product releases.
• Conduct functional testing of web-based applications and services.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases.
• Work closely with the development team to identify and resolve defects.
• Query and validate test data using SQL and ensure a strong database interaction understanding.
• Provide detailed and timely status updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in automation testing using Selenium with Python or Java.
• Proven experience with API automation and testing.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of functional testing methodologies.
• Good understanding of database structures and the ability to write and execute SQL queries.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in continuous integration tools like Jenkins.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
