Android Developer – Contractual Position

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
• Specification, development, and debugging of mobile applications.
• Work closely with the back-end development team and UX design team to implement mobile product requirements.
• Creation of reusable libraries and mobile application frameworks; evaluate and research the latest technologies.
• Advise management regarding the pros and cons of implementing specific mobile platforms.
• Play an important role in the direction of our mobile products.
• Utilize best-in-class engineering skills to create innovative mobile apps.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mobile application development.
• Deep familiarity with Android application development using Java/Kotlin, Android SDK, and Android Debugger.
• Excellent object-oriented analysis and design skills (OOA/OOD).
• Experience working in agile methodology.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin fundamentals and Coroutines.
• Familiarity with programming practices like clean code and SOLID principles.
• Understanding user experience and usability aspects.
• Familiar with Android architectures, testing, and Jetpack libraries.
• Knowledge of unit testing for Kotlin.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in mobile application development, specifically in Android.
