Product Management Principal Specialist

Job Summary

The Product Management Principal Specialist is responsible for establishing and overseeing a federated data governance model across distribution, enhancing the culture of data sharing, and implementing data strategies. This role contributes to the organization’s goals by ensuring optimal use of data as an asset and supporting enterprise digital transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and oversee a federated data governance model with defined responsibilities across Business Domains regarding documentation, support, quality, security, commercialization, and ownership of data.
  • Enhance the culture within Amadeus to normalize data sharing and informed decision-making.
  • Design and implement data strategies and systems to manage data effectively.
  • Advise on, monitor, and govern TRD data while leading the Amadeus Product Life Cycle (PLC) definition and processes linked to data.
  • Develop and execute a platform strategy for data collection, storage, and sharing.
  • Represent the TRD unit in the transversal data train, interacting with the engineering community.
  • Establish standards of data quality and oversee compliance with data protection and privacy policies.
  • Enable and steer new transversal data opportunities and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Master’s degree in Engineering (Information Technology, Data Science, or related field) or equivalent.
    • OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Information Technology) with prior experience in Data Management/Governance.
  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years of experience in a complex business environment or international organization matrix.
    • Strong IT background, including expertise in big data, cloud technology, monitoring solutions, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI).
    • Proven track record in product management, data management, and information technology systems and tools.
    • Familiarity with data governance tools such as Collibra (preferred) or similar alternatives.
    • Experience with the SAFe Agile framework.
    • Knowledge of data analytics/dashboard tools like Qlik and Microsoft PowerBI is a plus.
    • Nice to have experience in the travel domain.
