This role involves working collaboratively with Applied Researchers and subject-matter experts to create realistic environments that aid in the enhancement of AI models, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in AI development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Reinforcement Learning (RL) environments end-to-end, which includes frontend interfaces, backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows using technologies such as React/TypeScript, Next.js, Python, and SQLite.
  • Collaborate closely with Applied Researchers, subject-matter experts, and Quality Assurance (QA) specialists to ensure the simulations are realistic and accurate.
  • Maintain a high standard for the internal tooling, identifying shortcomings, and helping to improve systems over time.
  • Analyze task coverage, environment correctness, edge cases, and adversarial agent behavior critically.
  • Utilize AI coding tools (such as Claude Code and Codex) effectively, proposing ideas for enhancements and new tooling.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.Tech), Master's Degree (M.Tech), or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Proven track record of owning complex products from ambiguous requirements through to production launch, ideally in a startup or a high-velocity team at a larger company.
  • Experience with enterprise SaaS tools, understanding their behavior after years of user interactions, data processes, and operational constraints.
  • Strong engineering judgment regarding system correctness, failure modes, edge cases, and adversarial behavior.
  • A proactive mindset, willingness to learn, unlimited energy, and relentless optimism.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with reinforcement learning, agent evaluation, verifiers, reward models, or machine learning infrastructure.
  • Experience with browser automation tools such as Playwright or Selenium.

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in software engineering or related domains.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity options (Employee Stock Ownership Plans).
  • Group medical insurance for employees and their families, including group accident and life coverage.
  • Health and wellness reimbursement, which covers gym memberships and wellness expenses.
  • Daily meals provided in the office.
