Patch Manager

Job Summary

The Patch Manager will oversee the patch management process, ensuring all systems are kept up-to-date with the latest updates and security patches. This role is critical in maintaining the security and efficiency of the organization's IT infrastructure. The Patch Manager will coordinate with various departments to schedule and implement updates, minimizing disruption while maximizing system uptime.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage patch management strategies for all organizational systems.
• Coordinate with IT teams to schedule and deploy patches and updates.
• Monitor systems for compliance and ensure all patches are applied in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot patch-related issues and provide solutions to minimize downtime.
• Document patch management processes and maintain accurate records of patch deployments.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Expertise in patch management tools and processes.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
• Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and accuracy in work.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with specific patch management tools such as WSUS, SCCM, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and frameworks.
• Familiarity with software deployment and update processes in large-scale environments.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in patch management or a related IT field.

• Work Setting: The role may require both in-office and remote work capabilities, depending on project needs.

Salary

• Estimated salary range: ₹1,200,000 - ₹1,700,000 per annum.
