DevOps *Engineer/Architect (GCP)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer/Architect with 7–8 years of hands-on experience, specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable DevOps solutions in cloud-native environments, contributing directly to our organization's goals of enhanced deployment efficiency, security, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines: Develop and deploy CI/CD pipelines using GCP-native tools and other DevOps technologies.
• Infrastructure as Code Management: Utilize Terraform or similar tools to manage infrastructure as code.
• Cloud Infrastructure Setup: Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance cloud infrastructures.
• System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor systems and resolve issues to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to streamline deployment processes and optimize workflows.

Qualifications

• Technical Expertise in GCP: In-depth experience with services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, GKE, IAM, and Cloud Storage.
• Infrastructure as Code: Proficient with Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar tools.
• CI/CD Proficiency: Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Solid background in Docker, Kubernetes, and related container orchestration technologies.
• Scripting Skills: Proficient in Bash, Python, or Go for automation tasks.
• Monitoring Tools Familiarity: Knowledge of tools like Prometheus and Stackdriver for system monitoring.
• Networking, Security, and Compliance: Strong understanding of essential networking principles, cloud security practices, and compliance requirements.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

• GCP Certification: Preferred certifications such as Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Cloud Architect.

Experience

• 7–8 Years of Hands-On Experience: Proven track record in DevOps roles with a strong focus on GCP and associated cloud-native technologies.
