This role requires a combination of strategic planning, leadership, and execution capabilities to ensure that the plant operates efficiently, effectively, and profitably. Education Qualification & Experience:  Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field  5-10 years of experience in food manufacturing or a related industry, with a strong track record of success in operations and supply chain management  Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills  Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze and interpret data and use it to drive decision-making  Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in food manufacturing  Experience working with ERP, MRP, or other supply chain management software systems Roles & Responsibilities: Product Management:  Drive new and existing product performance, product sensory evaluation, researching product standards and attributes, determining product safety, and directing consumer testing and analysis by third parties if needed.  Develop, review & submit packaging & labels for new & reformulated products. Includes ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and internal requirements.  Act as the primary technical & regulatory resource for internal & external customers. Includes advising on potential product attributes for new product concepts, researching new regulations, manufacturing capabilities, legal compliance, and tracking food & non-food industry trends.  Create & manage product specifications. Includes requesting product specifications and other technical documentation from suppliers, creating internal specifications, and reviewing any updates to current product specifications.  Manage internal & external suppliers, contractors & other outside resources. Includes directing requested product changes, evaluations, consumer testing, and analysis.  Transfer of technology by conducting product trials, facilitating training of QA / QC / Production personnel, trouble shooting and continuous upgradation of technology.  Work with production team to develop solutions to production issues whilst maintaining food safety. Operations Management:  Develop and implement operational strategies and initiatives to optimize plant efficiency, productivity, and quality standards.  Ensure the compliance of the plant's operations with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards.  Supervise and manage the production, maintenance, and quality control teams to ensure smooth operations, minimal downtime, and maximum output.  Continuously analyze and evaluate operational data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.  Undertake long-term projects with other departments, e.g. reducing waste by improving efficiency, working on packaging innovation and technology.  Any other job entrusted by the management as and when required. Supply Chain Management:  Develop and implement supply chain strategies and processes to ensure the timely and costeffective delivery of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials.  Collaborate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to optimize inventory levels and manage production schedules.  Maintain and develop relationships with key suppliers and partners to ensure the availability and quality of materials and services.  Monitor supply chain performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and transportation costs, and implement corrective actions as needed. People Management:  Manage and develop the operations and supply chain teams, including hiring, training, performance management, and succession planning.  Drive HR compliance with regards to local & Govt. regulations, health & safety protocol.  Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the plant.  Build and maintain strong relationships with other departments and stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and R&D. Safety & Quality:  Ensure that the plant complies with all safety regulations and standards and implements and maintains effective safety programs and procedures.  Develop, review and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure minimal breakdowns in machinery and assure maximum performance.
