EDI Consultant

Job Summary

The EDI Consultant will play a crucial role in providing application support and middleware administration for the CLIENT Business Integration Suite. This position requires self-motivation and technical proficiency to ensure extraordinary support for customers, focusing on performance, availability, and scalability of the infrastructure. The consultant will actively engage with customers to develop solutions, enhance installations, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support for the Business Integration Suite, including operational and monitoring responsibilities.
• Ensure successful technical operations of enterprise Managed File Transfer & EDI platforms.
• Install, configure, and deploy CLIENT Business Integration Suite solutions.
• Assist in production issue resolution and root cause analysis, ensuring high availability and performance tuning.
• Review logs for user activity and troubleshoot issues in globally distributed systems.
• Collaborate with customers on software updates, system analysis, and service environment projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience with CLIENT Business Integration Suite or similar integration products (e.g., Sterling, TIBCO, Software AG, Axway, Dell Boomi).
• Strong understanding of internet protocols (TCP/IP, LDAP/LDAPS, SSL/TLS).
• Proficiency in application maintenance, stability, and advanced LDAP concepts.
• Experience with EDI standards, mapping, and integration methods.
• Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and UNIX, LINUX, and Windows platforms.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with a focus on customer interaction.
• Ability to work under pressure in a culturally diverse environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with B2B/MFT/API/ESB solutions (TIBCO, Software AG, IBM, Axway, Mulesoft, CA, Apigee, Dell Boomi, Oracle).
• Familiarity with message standards (JSON, XML, EDIFACT, X12, TRADACOMS).
• Proficiency with database systems (DB2, Oracle, SQL, Sybase).
• Knowledge of Middleware technologies (Websphere, Weblogic, Tomcat, Apache, IIS).
• Experience with Java and/or REST API, and writing technical specifications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools.

Experience

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in EDI and integration solutions.
