Job Summary

As a Senior DevOps Engineer specializing in GCP Automation, you will be responsible for building a fully automated Google Cloud Platform provisioning service that enables secure customer environments to launch within 10 minutes. This role requires a blend of expertise in infrastructure as code, scripting, security practices, and integration workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules for Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage, Cloud DNS/SSL, and Identity and Access Management (IAM); manage Terraform state and Git repositories.
• Implement automation using Cloud Build and Cloud Functions; write scripts in Bash and Python; manage Helm-based Node.js deployments and automate SSL setup.
• Enforce security measures following best practices including least-privilege IAM configurations, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), audit logging, and monitoring.
• Create integration workflows that include webhook endpoints, status tracking, error handling, comprehensive documentation, and runbooks.

Qualifications

• Education: Relevant education in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• Certifications: Valid Google Cloud certification, with a minimum of Associate Cloud Engineer (ACE); DevOps/Architect certifications are preferred (certification ID required).
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years in DevOps, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with GCP.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Terraform and production experience with GKE.
  • Strong skills in Bash and Python scripting.
  • Experience with CI/CD using Cloud Build.
  • Deep understanding of IAM and security best practices.
• Soft Skills: Proven ability to work independently and deliver projects on tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with REST APIs.
• Familiarity with multi-tenant architecture.
• Knowledge of Node.js, Docker, and Helm.

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years in related roles, with specific emphasis on GCP and DevOps practices.

Environment

• This role is remote and structured as a 3-month contract.
