Hestia is a new-age pediatric wellness brand, focused on building clean-label, clinically backed products for children’s everyday health needs. They’ve recently raised approximately ₹7 Crore in pre-seed funding and are currently building their founding team in Mumbai, with product launches planned across Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) platforms and marketplaces.

Job Summary

The Finance Controller role at Hestia is a high ownership, 0→1 position. The professional in this role will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting and financial operations, providing critical insights that drive business strategy and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting and financial operations.
• Drive Management Information Systems (MIS), financial reporting, and business insights.
• Handle budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Collaborate directly with founders on key business decisions.
• Set up finance systems, processes, and controls from scratch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) or certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in finance roles, particularly within Direct-to-Consumer (D2C), Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), or consumer brands.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Experience in financial analysis, reporting, and strategic planning.
• Proficiency in financial management software and Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with direct-to-consumer business models and e-commerce platforms.
• Experience in building finance functions from the ground up.

Experience

2–5 years of relevant experience, specifically with exposure to Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) brands or consumer brands.

Environment

This role is based in Mumbai, specifically in the Kemps Corner area. The work setting is likely to be office-based as Hestia builds its founding team.
