Associate Manager Infrastructure Services
Job Summary
The Middleware Administrator – IBM MQ position requires self-motivation and technical proficiency in the administration and configuration of IBM Messaging systems, including effective troubleshooting abilities. This role focuses on providing administration of IBM Messaging systems and support to the designated application technology stack using IBM MQ to ensure maximum uptime for Production Systems. The overall responsibility includes performance, availability, and scalability of the infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Modify/re-design configuration/applications to resolve identified issues.
- Manage, configure, and monitor MQ Listeners, Command Servers, Channel initiators, Trigger Monitors, MQ Log files, and Dead Letter Queues.
- Setup IBM WebSphere MQ in a clustered environment for both load balancing and failover.
- Provide impact analysis of newer versions and plan upgrades for servers with appropriate versions and patches of IBM WebSphere MQ.
- Setup security on the WebSphere MQ servers, queues, and applications that access WebSphere MQ.
- Provide SME-level support to 1st level Administrators within the team.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 8-12+ years of experience supporting Middleware technologies – IBM on Unix and Windows operating systems.
- Technical Skills:
- IBM MQ Administration (8-12 years)
- Administration and troubleshooting of IBM MQ File Transactions
- Knowledge of Control-M batch processing
- Experience in deploying Bar files, IIB, Pub-Sub, and applying security
- Scripting knowledge (Shell, Python)
- Understanding of queues, FTP, SFTP, HTTP protocols, and Debug flows
- Knowledge of MQ Clustering and troubleshooting
- SSL Configuration and experience with MQ Monitoring tools
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of RDQM and MQ in cloud environments.
- Experience in Pub/Sub, process, and triggers in MQ.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, system, and performance tuning skills.
Experience
- 10 years of IBM WebSphere MQ Server (version 5.3.0 – 8.0) experience.
- Experience with IBM PMR problem determination and troubleshooting processes.
- Experience with product and Fixpack installations and version upgrades of WebSphere MQ.
Environment
- Work Location: Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Noida, Gurugram.
- Work Type: Full-time.
- Work Mode: Hybrid.
- Must be willing to work on-call schedule and flexible to work any shift, including night shifts and weekends.
Salary
- Estimated salary range: ₹3,000,000.
