Having recently raised $5M in seed funding at a ₹140 Cr valuation, we’re now in the early stages of team building — with a sharp focus on product, distribution, and scale. We’re looking for a sharp, hands-on finance leader to join us at this foundational stage. The Role As Head of Finance, you will be a foundational hire in the leadership team, responsible for building the finance function from scratch. This is a controller-heavy, hands-on role best suited for someone who thrives in ambiguity, is sharp with numbers, and understands what it takes to scale a high-growth consumer business through its 0→1→10 journey. You’ll work closely with the founders, take complete ownership of finance, and help lay the groundwork for our next stage of growth and funding. Key Responsibilities � � Controllership & Compliance ● Lead day-to-day finance operations: accounting, reconciliations, vendor payments, store-level reporting, inventory, and revenue recognition ● Ensure timely and accurate book closures; own all audits (statutory, internal, GST, etc.) ● Build and institutionalize robust internal controls, SOPs, and ensure full statutory compliance (GST, TDS, ROC, etc.) � � Planning, Budgeting & Analysis ● Own the AOP, budgeting, forecasting, and store-wise P&L analysis ● Enable data-driven decision-making through MIS, dashboards, and cost tracking ● Evaluate unit economics, pricing strategies, and identify margin improvement opportunities � � Fundraising & Treasury ● Manage cash flows, working capital planning, and banking relationships ● Support investor relations, fundraising diligence, and board-level financial reporting ● Contribute to cap table oversight and ESOP accounting where applicable � � Team Building & Systems ● Hire and lead a lean finance team — setting the tone for financial discipline and agility ● Own implementation of accounting systems, POS integrations, and ERP tools ● Build scalable processes that can evolve as the business grows rapidly Who You Are ● Chartered Accountant with 8–12 years of post-qualification experience ● Experience in a VC-backed startup or early-stage company, ideally consumer tech or content/OTT/SaaS ● Strong grounding in financial operations, controls, audits, taxation, and treasury ● Exposure to fundraising, investor interactions, and board-level reporting ● Hands-on builder who thrives in high-ambiguity, fast-growth environments ● Known to roll up sleeves, bring order to chaos, and solve problems, not just push paper ● Bonus: Experience with ESOP management, cap table modeling, and stakeholder alignment Why Join Us? ● Shape the finance function of a high-potential content platform from day one ● Work directly with visionary founders and contribute meaningfully to growth strategy ● Be part of an ambitious and close-knit team building something meaningful ● Please note: We operate in a six-day working environment, in line with the pace and energy of an early-stage startup ● Competitive salary + ESOPs aligned with long-term company value creation
