Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Android Developer with a focus on over-the-top (OTT) platforms, Android TV, and live streaming technologies. The ideal candidate will possess 4+ years of experience in developing complex, large-scale Android applications, contributing to the enhancement of user experiences across various devices and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex, large-scale Android applications with a focus on performance and user experience.
• Implement MVVM architecture principles and detail the responsibilities of classes within this architecture.
• Design and optimize Android user interfaces by adhering to design principles and best practices.
• Manage memory, threads, and networking to ensure robust application performance.
• Utilize Android architecture components and Jetpack libraries for better app design and functionality.
• Write unit tests and perform debugging for distributed systems, ensuring quality and reliability.
• Implement dependency injection using Dagger2 or Hilt to optimize modular design.
• Support multiple Android versions and various screen resolutions and device types to ensure application compatibility.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of overall experience, with a minimum of 4 years in Android application development.
• Excellent proficiency in Kotlin, the Android SDK, and object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
• Strong understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Familiarity with Kotlin coroutines and asynchronous programming.
• Experience in UI Development using Jetpack Compose is a plus.
• Hands-on knowledge of dependency management and testing frameworks.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in tools like Git and Jira for version control and project management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in developing applications for OTT platforms, Android TV, or live streaming technologies.
• Knowledge of TIF layer components is an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 4 years of relevant Android application development experience.
