Senior Category Executive 

Qualifications

  • Master’s in Business Management (Marketing)
  • 4-6 years of experience in a brand marketing (B2C) role, preferably in FMCG
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Familiarity with International retail environment – both offline (retail) and online (e-commerce, q-commerce) trade channels
  • Proficiency with project management & data analysis tools, design and presentation software
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams with collaboration and teamwork

Responsibilities

  • Custodian of the category and all product lines falling under that.  Responsible for the topline growth of the category, using all elements of the marketing mix
  • Help track product performance by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and create suitable action plans to improve performance, by channel.
  • Identify market trends, understand consumer preferences, competitive product positions and opportunities for growth
  • Gather and analyze trade & consumer feedback to inform product improvements and guide future development
  • Develop the product roadmap and define product modifications or new product requirements
  • Work with other departments, such as Sales and R&D, to align on product goals and ensure a unified strategy. 
  • Create project plans and manage project timelines across functions, with ultimate go-to-market responsibility for all projects

Location/Reporting/Travel

  • The position will be based out of Mumbai, but will involve very close working with the HO in Bharuch.  
  • The role will require domestic & International travel, for a few days every month, in order to visit different markets and obtain first-hand understanding of the consumer and trade channels.
