Job Summary

The Relationship Manager (RM) within the Medium Enterprises (ME) team is a dynamic and result-oriented role responsible for sourcing and managing a portfolio of clients with turnovers ranging from ₹100 Cr to ₹500 Cr. The RM will play a critical role in maintaining portfolio hygiene and actively engaging in cross-selling financial products to meet the organization's business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Client Acquisition (NTB): Source new-to-bank (NTB) clients within the medium enterprise segment by leveraging market intelligence, references, and industry networking.
  • Portfolio Management: Manage and deepen existing client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and retention through regular engagement.
  • Credit Note Preparation: Conduct comprehensive financial analyses and prepare detailed credit notes for new and existing clients, evaluating risk and aligning proposals with bank’s credit policies.
  • Sanction Process & Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal credit teams for proposal discussions and approvals, effectively communicating client financial needs to align with available product offerings.
  • Portfolio Hygiene: Ensure timely renewals, compliance with limits, proper documentation, and monitoring of early warning signals to maintain high asset quality and minimize delinquencies.
  • Cross-Selling: Identify and capitalize on cross-sell opportunities across various products, including trade finance, treasury, cash management, insurance, and working capital solutions.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3–4 years of experience in corporate, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME), or Medium Enterprises (ME) banking.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of credit analysis and financial statements.
    • Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
    • Proven ability to drive business growth while effectively managing risks.

  • Familiarity with financial products and services.
  • Networking abilities within the industry.
  • Analytical skills to assess financial risks and opportunities.

Experience

  • A minimum of 3–4 years in roles related to corporate banking or SME/ME banking.
