Job Title: Head – Soft Skills Development
Department: Human Resources / Learning & Development
Location: Mumbai, India (Head Office)
Reporting To: Group Learning Head
Role Overview:
The Head – Soft Skills Development will design and drive MOFSL’s enterprise-wide behavioural and
soft skills strategy across all business lines — including Wealth Management, Private Wealth
Management, Institutional Equities, Asset Management, Investment Banking, MO Alternates,
Housing Finance, Corporate Teams and Support Functions. This role will strengthen the
organization’s culture of excellence and collaboration by enabling every employee to consistently
demonstrate MOFSL’s values of integrity, client focus, teamwork, and performance through
structured learning interventions and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Design
Develop and implement MOFSL’s Soft Skills Capability Framework aligned with
strategic business goals and leadership competencies.
Conduct deep diagnostics across business units to identify behavioral,
communication, and interpersonal capability gaps.
Translate insights into learning priorities mapped to workforce segments and
corresponding roles.

Design comprehensive learning interventions using instructional design
principles—ensuring programs are learner-centric, engaging, and results driven.
Create blended learning journeys (classroom, digital, micro learning, simulations,
coaching) for diverse employee groups.
Build and mentor internal trainer communities through train-the-trainer programs.
Measurement & Impact Assessment
Establish clear measurement metrics—including Kirkpatrick-level evaluations,
behavioural indicators, and business KPIs—to assess learning effectiveness and
behavioural change.
Use analytics and feedback loops to demonstrate the impact of learning
interventions on individual performance and organizational culture.
Present periodic insights and performance dashboards to senior leadership.
Stakeholder Partnership & Alignment
Collaborate with Business Heads, HRBPs, and functional leaders to align
interventions with business needs.
Partner with external experts, consulting firms, and technology providers to deliver
global best practices in behavioural training.
Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on behavioural and cultural
development initiatives.

Expertise in behavioural learning design, instructional design methodologies, and learning
diagnostics.
Strong understanding of BFSI-specific behavioural needs, regulatory context, and client
interaction dynamics.
Demonstrated ability to measure and communicate learning ROI.
Excellent facilitation, presentation, and change management capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience:
Postgraduate in HR, Behavioural Sciences, Organizational Psychology, or related discipline.
12–15 years of experience in Learning & Development, with at least 5 years
leading behavioural and soft skills initiatives at scale.
Experience in BFSI, consulting, or large enterprise environments preferred.
Certifications in psychometrics, facilitation, coaching, or instructional design are desirable.
