Job Summary

The Supply Planner, External Supply is accountable for managing production scheduling and ensuring the accuracy of critical data within systems. This role is crucial in boosting internal delivery performance and contributes to the overall efficiency of supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an accurate Open Order Book to identify scheduled product shipments.
  • Execute a Fixed Frequency Repeating Schedule (FFRS) methodology for packaging finished goods.
  • Implement a level-loaded schedule to supply intermediates required for FFRS.
  • Track Conformance to Plan (CTP) performance weekly and measure CTP across all production work centers/Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).
  • Maintain an up-to-date capacity definition for select CMOs based on demonstrated output and CTP.
  • Execute a predefined Performance Management process to ensure order fulfillment while adhering strictly to FFRS methodology.
  • Accommodate non-standard activities (e.g., New Product Introduction (NPI), artwork changes) into the production schedule while maintaining adherence to FFRS.
  • Uphold MERPS hygiene and communicate updates to CMOs.
  • Coordinate activities related to artwork revision to ensure minimal write-off.
  • Support the team on additional tasks such as Credit Note Governance, MM Audit Coordination, training to CMOs, and documentation coordination.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background:

    • Minimum Level: Graduate/Post Graduate qualification in Materials Management or MBA.
  • Job-Related Experience:

    • Preferably 5-6 years of experience in production scheduling within the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Knowledge of materials & production planning/scheduling and supply chain processes.
    • Familiarity with regulatory and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and Good Distribution Practices (GDP) requirements.
    • Understanding of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)/Hazard Analysis and Safety (HAS) and material characteristics/properties.
  • Other Skills:

    • Strong leadership skills for motivating teams and enhancing performance.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster relationships at all levels across functions.
    • Ability to make sound decisions based on data and apply risk management principles.
    • Collaborative team member and effective multi-tasker.
    • Demonstrated ability to excel in execution.
