Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and managing the performance of commercial vehicle sales within designated territories. This role requires a strategic mindset, industry expertise, and a passion for electric mobility, contributing significantly to the company's expansion and market presence in the region.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies to meet organizational revenue and growth targets.
- Identify and explore new business opportunities to expand market presence and increase sales.
- Build and nurture relationships with key customers, fleet operators, and stakeholders to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities and threats.
- Provide data-driven insights to the leadership team to inform strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with dealership teams to ensure smooth showroom operations and effective customer engagement.
- Work with cross-functional teams including marketing, service, and supply chain to ensure seamless operations.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales volume, market share, and profitability for the assigned region.
Qualifications
- Experience: 6-12 years in sales, with a focus on commercial vehicles (3-wheeler/4-wheeler sub-1-ton category).
- Regional Expertise: Proficiency in the local language of the assigned region is mandatory.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the commercial vehicle market, including Small Commercial Vehicles (SCV), Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV), and passenger vehicles.
- Strategic Skills: Experience in developing and executing go-to-market strategies.
- Network Development: Proven ability to expand and manage dealer and distribution networks.
- Educational Qualifications: Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
