Product Manager – Dairy / CA Business Unit

Job Purpose The Product Manager owns the marketing strategy for dairy animal health products. This role is responsible for developing and implementing marketing information and activities delivered by the field force to customers.

The role includes product positioning, identifying market growth opportunities, competition intelligence, and ensuring profitability. The Product Manager works closely with field teams, marketing colleagues, sales leadership, and supply chain to drive impactful campaigns using both traditional and digital channels.

Core Responsibilities

Planning

Lead the development of annual strategic marketing plans for core and focus products aligned with the overall operating plan.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and field force to ensure alignment of marketing programs with business strategy, sales activities, and account plans.
Develop, review, and revise sales forecasts and inventory plans based on promotional activities, seasonal trends, and market demand.
Manage the monthly forecasting process and conduct forecast review meetings with the demand planning team.
Define and align pricing strategies with Business Unit and Commercial Operations leaders to maximize sales and profitability.
Conduct regular customer visits to gather insights and incorporate findings into marketing strategies.

Marketing Campaigns & Demand Creation

Develop and execute marketing campaigns that drive product positioning, market growth, and profitability (short-term and long-term).
Support and train sales teams to effectively use promotional materials and execute campaigns.
Collaborate with sales teams, veterinarians, technical teams, and L&D to identify training needs and development plans for field teams.
Gather and analyze data from multiple sources including market research, customer feedback, field insights, publications, conferences, and industry networks.
Use insights to drive commercial decision-making.
Ensure accurate business record-keeping and effective communication with stakeholders.
