Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented ETL & Data Pipeline Analyst with strong expertise in Datastage, Teradata, and SQL. The analyst will analyze and document critical data pipelines and processes, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the existing system. This role is essential for capturing the flow of data, dependencies, scheduling, and documenting all key components for downstream implementation and migration purposes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the current data architecture built on Datastage and Teradata to understand key ETL workflows, pipeline structures, and data lineage.
• Identify processes and jobs contributing to the creation and population of Teradata tables, including schedules and dependencies.
• Document end-to-end ETL flows, detailing the logic, table relationships, and interdependencies between processes.
• Collaborate closely with development, business, and QA teams to verify and validate the accuracy of information captured.
• Produce high-quality, clear, and actionable technical documentation to support future platform migration or enhancement (e.g., to Databricks).

Qualifications

• IBM Datastage: Proficient in ETL design and analysis.
• Teradata: Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and architecture.
• SQL: Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Experience with ETL/Data Pipeline Documentation.
• Skills in Data Lineage & Dependency Mapping.
• Familiarity with Job Scheduling Tools (e.g., Autosys, Control-M, or similar).
• Knowledge of Data Modeling Concepts.
• Strong technical writing and documentation best practices.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with migration planning or modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks/Spark).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data architecture best practices.
• Understanding of additional ETL tools or data processing frameworks.
