Job Description
<div>Assistant Financial Controller – Global Finance (Bangalore Shared Services) <br />
You will be part of the ESCO Group’s global finance team, working closely with finance and <br />
operational leaders across our international subsidiaries. This role will report to the Deputy <br />
Group CFO, based out of our shared services centre in Bangalore. <br />
Key Responsibilities <br />
Financial Control & Reporting <br />
• Drive month-end closing, review reconciliations, and ensure accurate and timely <br />
financial reporting. <br />
• Prepare monthly management accounts and group-level consolidation. <br />
• Manage the statutory audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring <br />
compliance with local and group reporting standards. <br />
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and balance sheet hygiene. <br />
Financial Planning & Analysis <br />
• Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure plans. <br />
• Analyse performance versus plan and provide actionable insights to management. <br />
• Support business case evaluations, cost structure reviews, and profitability analyses. <br />
Process Improvement & ERP <br />
• Develop a strong understanding of Infor LN ERP flows and connected systems. <br />
• Identify process gaps and work with cross-functional teams to improve automation, <br />
accuracy, and efficiency. <br />
• Support finance digitalisation and process re-engineering initiatives. <br />
Risk Management <br />
• Over time, develop a deep understanding of the business model and proactively identify <br />
emerging financial or operational risks. <br />
• Recommend and implement controls or process changes to mitigate those risks. <br />
Candidate Profile <br />
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (CMA India) with 3–5 years <br />
of relevant post-qualification experience. <br />
• Experience in a Tier-I ERP environment (Infor LN preferred / SAP / Oracle). <br />
• Sound understanding of accounting principles, consolidation, and cost systems. <br />
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills. <br />
• Excellent communication, Excel, and reporting skills. <br />
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure and tight timelines. <br />
• A self-starter, comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. <br />
• Willing to travel occasionally (up to 15–20%) to subsidiaries as needed. <br />
