Position Overview:

As the Director of Media Planning and Buying, you will lead our media planning and buying efforts to drive effective advertising campaigns and maximize the reach and impact of our gaming products. You will play a key role in developing and executing media strategies across traditional and digital channels, optimizing media investments, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media planning and buying, a deep understanding of gaming industry trends, and a proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive media planning and buying strategies to reach target audiences and drive brand awareness, user acquisition, and engagement for our gaming products.
  • Lead the negotiation and execution of media buys across traditional and digital channels, including but not limited to TV, radio, print, out-of-home (OOH), display, social, and programmatic.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and analytics teams to align media strategies with overall marketing objectives and target audience insights.
  • Utilize data-driven insights and market research to identify media opportunities, optimize media plans, and maximize ROI.
  • Manage relationships with media vendors, agencies, and partners to negotiate favourable terms, secure added value opportunities, and ensure campaign delivery and performance.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance metrics, provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in media planning and buying, and implement innovative strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Manage media budgets effectively, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure adherence to financial targets and KPIs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of media planning and buying professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, advertising standards, and best practices in media planning and buying.
  • Bring in innovative practices to drive business (brand) growth
  • Ensuring digital and offline asset management for other internal stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience in media planning and buying, preferably within the gaming industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing media strategies to drive brand awareness, user acquisition, and engagement.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing relationships with media vendors, agencies, and partners.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead a team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Deep understanding of media channels, platforms, and technologies, with a focus on digital media and programmatic advertising.
  • Passion for gaming and a strong interest in staying updated on gaming industry trends and innovations.
