Job Summary

The Mainframe Ops role is essential for ensuring the stability and security of mainframe systems. This position focuses on performing health checks, managing security protocols, and overseeing patch management for DB2 databases, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of the organization's IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular DB2 health checks to ensure optimal performance and reliability of database systems.
• Manage DB2 security protocols to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with industry standards.
• Oversee patch management processes for DB2, ensuring timely updates and security enhancements.
• Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve any mainframe-related issues.
• Document procedures and maintain records of health checks, security measures, and patch management activities.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of DB2 database management.
• Experience with DB2 health checks, security management, and patch management.
• Familiarity with mainframe operations and support.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Educational qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with other database management systems.
• Knowledge of mainframe programming languages (e.g., COBOL, JCL).
• Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.

Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mainframe operations or database management.

Environment

This position is a hybrid work model, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work. The role may require occasional on-site presence for system maintenance and troubleshooting.

Salary

Estimated salary range: 3,500,000.
