IT Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Manager to oversee and manage our organization’s IT infrastructure, security, and operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Linux systems, network security, hardware/software management, and compliance frameworks to ensure high system availability, performance, and security.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems.
- Ensure robust network security by implementing and monitoring firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security protocols.
- Administer and optimize Linux-based systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software assets.
- Develop, implement, and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure and networking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and technology initiatives.
- Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery planning.
- Manage vendor relationships and IT procurement processes.
- Drive continuous improvement in IT operations, automation, and security practices.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, network security, and systems management.
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix environments.
- In-depth knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, routing, switching).
- Expertise in network security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
- Experience with security protocols and standards (SSL/TLS, SSH, VPNs, etc.).
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC2, GDPR, etc.).
- Solid understanding of hardware, servers, storage, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience in incident response and vulnerability management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in high-availability or low-latency environments.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Certifications such as RHCE, CISSP, CISM, CCNA/CCNP.
- Experience in managing production environments and change management processes.
Experience
7–10 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, network security, and systems management.
