Job Summary

The Head – Human Resources (Corporate) will serve as the senior-most HR leader within a leading engineering and manufacturing organization. The role is responsible for overseeing the entire corporate HR function for the white-collar workforce, working closely with promoters and business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support the company's growth and expansion initiatives. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in talent acquisition, leadership development, policy formulation, and employee engagement, ensuring HR excellence across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with promoters and business leaders to develop and execute people strategy and key HR initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead the corporate HR function for the white-collar workforce, ensuring effective HR operations and compliance.
  • Drive leadership hiring and critical talent acquisition to support organizational growth.
  • Build and implement Learning & Development programs and capability-building initiatives to enhance employee skills and leadership pipeline.
  • Oversee performance management and appraisal processes to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Formulate, review, and implement HR policies, processes, and frameworks to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Mentor and guide the HR team across corporate and manufacturing locations, fostering a collaborative HR environment.
  • Support HR requirements for upcoming greenfield projects and expansion initiatives.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention programs to build a motivated and committed workforce.
  • Regularly travel to manufacturing locations across West Bengal and other plant sites to work closely with plant HR teams and support HR operations.

Qualifications

  • 10–20 years of overall HR experience, with a significant portion in manufacturing or engineering industries.
  • Proven expertise in HR Business Partnering (HRBP), Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and Performance Management.
  • Experience in HR policy formulation and process implementation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working closely with promoters and senior business leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a promoter-driven organization.
  • Educational qualification: Graduate or postgraduate degree in HR, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in greenfield projects and organizational expansion.
  • Ability to manage multi-location HR operations.
  • Proficiency in HR analytics and data-driven decision-making.
  • Comfortable working in a high-growth, dynamic environment.
  • Prior experience in change management and organizational development.
