Azure Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will manage the onboarding process for both external and internal users on Active Directory (AD) servers using ServiceNow forms, ensure the efficient operation of data pipelines, and maintain Azure-based applications such as Logic Apps and Function Apps. This role plays a critical part in streamlining user integration, addressing access and permissions issues, and coordinating with both the AD and cloud teams to support Azure portal activities and network services. The expected start date is within 15 days, and the application deadline is 2025-05-19T18:30:00.000Z.

Responsibilities

• User Onboarding: Oversee the onboarding process for users to both external and internal Active Directory (AD) servers using ServiceNow forms and ensure smooth integration with coordination from the AD team.
• User Query Response: Address inquiries related to access issues, table creation, permissions, and managing pipelines in Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Pipeline Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Workspace Management: Oversee the creation and administration of new workspaces in Azure Databricks.
• Application Maintenance: Manage and troubleshoot Azure Logic Apps and Function Apps.
• Coordination: Collaborate closely with the cloud team for managing the Azure portal and network services, including VNet, DNS, etc.
• Security Patching: Identify, prioritize, acquire, install, and verify the installation of security patches, updates, and upgrades to maintain system security.
• Incident Management: Detect, investigate, and respond promptly to incidents to minimize downtime and ensure service continuity.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Azure Databricks: Hands-on experience with data engineering tasks in Azure Databricks.
• Active Directory (AD) Knowledge: Familiarity with user onboarding processes and management in AD.
• Azure Data Factory (ADF) Experience: Proven track record in maintaining and troubleshooting data pipelines.
• Application Management: Experience in maintaining Azure Logic Apps and Function Apps.
• Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Strong skills in diagnosing and resolving technical issues promptly.
• IT Service Management Tools: Experience using ServiceNow or similar platforms.
• Security Patching Expertise: Understanding of security patching processes and best practices.
• Incident Management: Experience in detecting, investigating, and managing incidents.
• Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Familiarity with cloud networking services such as VNet and DNS.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience

• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, Azure services management, and working with Active Directory and IT service management tools.
